Protecting civil liberties
With the widespread use of surveillance technology, civil liberties has become a hot topic. We are extremely mindful that, given today’s environment, there is a fine balance between ensuring everyone’s safety, and infringing upon the rights of individuals.

We believe that surveillance should not be seen as a ‘necessary evil’, but rather a building block upon which the liberties of the vast majority of us – law abiding citizens – can be protected.
No-one would question the role surveillance has in fighting terrorism or organised crime.
Too often, it seems that debate centres on what those invisible people in authority are doing with your information now that they are watching you constantly. Not why we have developed a surveillance society in the first place.

No-one would question the absolutely imperative role surveillance has in fighting terrorism or organised crime. If, as has been shown in high profile cases recently, CCTV can quickly provide essential information that leads to the safe return of a missing child, who can question its need or its worth?

It is not the technology but the use of the technology that is at issue. We believe that it is up to providers such as Scyron to meet these challenges by providing organisations like law enforcement agencies with ever more intelligent solutions to allow them to more effectively target their operations.
It is our mission to continue to develop innovative solutions that help protect and expand that liberty for all of us.
One of Scyron’s core values is liberty. It is our mission to continue to develop innovative solutions that help protect and expand that liberty for all of us by enabling security and surveillance professionals to focus on those who have little respect for our rights.
