In 1999, Richard Mansfield won a highly competitive UK Government Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Smart Award which, together with his own investment, enabled him to carry out the feasibility studies required to develop and validate the patented digital technology that is now at the core of all the Company products.

In 2010, Scyron was purchased by Centerprise International.
